Join Us for A Home Challenge: A Lovely January
New England Home

RJust before Christmas, I spoke about how important it is to have something to look forward in January to lift your spirits. The post can be accessed here.

Now that the year 2021 is officially coming to a close, it’s time to get started on our goal for January!

Many people find a long, dark winter difficult to bear, especially after the holidays. Having a home project you’re looking forward to, whether it’s big or small, or even creating experiences at home that you’ll enjoy can make a difference!

This would be a fun challenge for the whole community., so I’ve come up with a plan. Each year we discuss our home goals, but this year I thought it would make sense to have a focus on January and share it with the group.

Focus on one room in January. It should be your January home goal.

It could be a goal to clean, organize, paint, or change the lighting, furniture, or other elements in the room. There are many creative and fun ways you can get involved in projects and other experiences. You could even spend some time dreaming up room ideas!

Do whatever you can to make January a more enjoyable month. more lovely.

Which room should you be focusing on? What are your creative ideas for this space?

As I said, I’ll be working on our bedroom. My goal is just to have fun, be creative and enjoy making progress in my room. It doesn’t have to be anything complicated to uplift your spirits!

Once you’ve decided which space you’ll be working on, share about your project and then give us updates on what you’re doing in January! Share your projects and ideas in our Facebook group, or on your own social media using the hashtag #alovelyjanuary. Tag me @theinspiredroom and I’ll re-share some!

Let your friends know what you’re doing, and share this idea with your neighbors. Let’s just make it a fun thing we do together and I think it will uplift everyone’s spirits. It’s nice to know you’re not alone.

Once a week I’ll update on my project here on the blog and I’ll be sharing on social too, so you can see what I’m up to, my progress and inspiration! (Find Me on Facebook Here, and Instagram Here).

Instead of a dark and dreary January, let’s make it a lovely one!

In an upcoming post I’ll share some bedroom inspiration in case you want to work on your bedroom, too!
